Who we are

Community EV Charging is run by Menston EV Charging, 6 Main Street, Menston. We're responsible for the details you send us through this website.

What we collect

When you register your interest we collect your name, your email address and the village you're interested in, plus any answers you choose to give: your street or postcode, your EV, where you park, when you'd charge, details of a site you could host, a phone number and any message.

Why we use it

We use your details to contact you about community EV charging in your area and to plan where chargers should go. We do this with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who else sees it

Form replies are stored by our website host, Netlify, which handles them on our behalf. We don't sell your details or share them with anyone else.

When someone visits or signs up, we get a notification on our phone through a service called ntfy. It includes non-personal information only, such as the village, whether you're on a phone or computer, or "I have an EV now". Names, emails, phone numbers and postcodes are never included.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while we're planning or running charging in your area. If charging in a village doesn't go ahead, we delete the sign-ups for that village. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them or delete them. To do any of these, reply to any email from us or get in touch through menstonevcharging.co.uk.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
